AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State tennis team (9-14, 0-7 Big 12) will host TCU (9-13, 0-7 Big 12) and No. 13 Texas Tech (16-5, 5-2 Big 12) this weekend before heading to the Big 12 Championships. The Cyclones will take on the Horned Frogs on Friday, April 20 a 2 p.m. at the Life Time Fitness in Urbandale. On Sunday, the Cyclones will take on Texas Tech at 10 a.m. with the match expected to be played at the Forker Tennis Courts in Ames.
Iowa State vs. TCUÂ
Series:Â Iowa State has been unable to pick up a win in its five-game history with the Horned Frogs. Last year, the Cyclones were defeated by TCU, 4-0, at Fort Worth, Texas.Â
TCU: TCU has not won a Big 12 match up so far this season. Last weekend, the team faced No. 11 Oklahoma State and Oklahoma, where they lost both matches, 4-3 and 4-1 respectively.Â

Series: The Cyclones are also still in search of a victory over the Red Raiders, as Texas Tech leads the series, 26-0. Last season, the Cyclones traveled to Lubbock, Texas, where they fell, 4-0.Â
Texas Tech: Texas Tech most recently faced Oklahoma State, where they defeated the No. 11 ranked team, 4-1. Prior to visiting Iowa State, the Red Raiders will travel to Morgantown, W.V. to compete against the Mountaineers.Â

The Cyclones are still in search of a Big 12 win as they enter into their matches against TCU and Texas Tech. Last weekend, the team gained momentum as they picked up the doubles point in their match against Baylor. No. 2 doubles duo Ekaterina Repina and Margarita Timakova defeated the Bears' 80th-ranked pairing, 6-3. No. 1 doubles partners Maty Cancini and Regina Espindola also picked up a win in doubles, winning 7-5. Despite their progress in doubles action, the Cyclones fell to Baylor, 6-1. Prior to taking on the Bears, ISU faced the fifth-ranked Texas, where the Cyclones fell, 4-0.Â
