AMES, Iowa – One of Iowa State's greatest track and field student-athletes, Lisa Griebel, will be inducted into the Iowa State Athletics Hall of Fame this September.
Griebel dominated the shot put during her time as a Cyclone, being a six-time All-American and a six-time Big 12 Champion across the indoor and outdoor seasons in the shot put. Her efforts saw her named to the Big 12's 10th Anniversary Team in 2006.
She was also able to show her ability in the shot put in national competition, finishing sixth in the shot at the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials, and fifth at the 2001 USA Track and Field Championships.
