AMES, Iowa – Iowa State swimming and diving head coach Duane Sorenson announced his program's schedule for the 2018-19 season. The schedule features five opportunities to watch the team in action at Beyer Hall.
The season kicks off on Oct. 12 with the Cardinal and Gold Meet, followed by a trip to the state of South Dakota to square off with South Dakota on Friday, Oct. 19 and South Dakota State on Saturday, Oct. 20.
Following the two-meet road swing to kick off the season, Iowa State will face off with Nebraska at home on Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. for the first chance for Cyclones fans to see the team in dual-meet action in Beyer Pool.
Iowa State will hit the road again with a double-dual against TCU and SMU in Dallas, Texas on Nov. 2. From Nov. 16-18, the Cyclone divers will travel to Iowa City for the Iowa Invitational, while the swimmers will head to Lawrence, Kansas for the Kansas Classic.
Iowa State's annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk showdown will be on Dec. 7 in Iowa City at 6 p.m. After the winter break, the Cyclones will return home to Beyer Hall for a three-meet home stand to take on UNI on Jan. 12 at 1 p.m., followed by Illinois State on Jan. 18 at 5 p.m. and capping it off with a meet against West Virginia on Jan. 26 at 11 a.m., which will serve as Senior Day.
Iowa State will close out the regular season on the road at Kansas on Feb. 8-9. Following the trip the Lawrence, the Cyclones will head to the Big 12 Championships in Austin, Texas, taking place Feb. 27-March 2.
