Bonadonna Claims Title, Moves Up Record Book

BLACKSBURG, Virginia – Annabella Bonadonna capped an impressive tournament by defeating Marshall's Victoria Walter, 6-0, 6-4, to claim the title in her bracket Sunday at the Hokie Fall Invite.
The senior from Caracas, Venezuela finished the tournament with a 7-1 overall record. Bonadonna is now tied with Meghan Cassens for fourth-place on the overall wins list.
Maty Cancini also ended her tournament with an impressive victory, defeating Caragh Courtney (UD), 6-0, 6-0, in the consolation round.
Iowa State will return to action at ITA Regionals in Iowa City. The tournament will run from Oct. 12 through Oct. 16.
