LOS ANGELES – Iowa State wrapped up action Sunday at the Women of Troy Invitational hosted by Southern Cal.
The Cyclones were unable to pick up a win Sunday, despite a number of sets that could have gone either way.
In the most competitive match of the day, freshman Christin Hsieh fell in three sets to Southern Cal's Sydney Van Alphen. Hsieh took the first set 7-6 (5), but Van Alphen took the second set 6-1 and then held off the Cyclone rookie, 10-8, in the final set.
Some Cyclones will return to action this weekend at the ITA Central Regional Championships in Norman, Oklahoma.
