Iowa State Brings In Two For Class Of 2020

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head women's golf coach Christie Martens announced today the signing of Charley Jacobs and Ellie Braksiek to compete for the Cyclone women's golf team beginning in the Fall of 2020.
A native of Adelaide, Australia, Jacobs has compiled one of the best junior golf resumes in Australia in the last three years. She has over 10 top-10 finishes in her junior career, including a runner-up showing at the Victoria Junior Masters (294).
Jacobs tied for fifth at the 2019 Australian Girls' Amateur Championship, firing a final-round 66. She also tied for eighth at the 2019 IMG Academy Junior World Championship.
Braksiek, a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has placed in the top-five at the Iowa Girls State Meet in each of the last two seasons: 2018 (5th in Class 4A), 2019 (5th in Class 3A).
Braksiek was a member of the Des Moines Register's 2019 Class 3A All-State team.
