AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State track and field team is back in action on Saturday with the Cyclones in competition at the Jimmy Grant Invitational at the UI Recreation Building. Competition begins in the field with the hammer throw at 9 a.m. and field events throughout the afternoon. Running events begin with the 60m hurdle prelims at 4:30 p.m. and wrap up with the 4x400-meter relay at 7:30 p.m.
There will be no live video of this weekend's competition. Live results will be provided by Wayzata Timing, here.
A group of 34 Iowa State student-athletes will be making the trip to Iowa City this weekend, with the main emphasis being in the field events and in the sprints and hurdles. The December meet will also give many Cyclones their first chances at competing for the Cardinal and Gold, with eight members of the travel squad in line to make Iowa State debuts.
