AMES, Iowa - Iowa State (2-2, 0-0 Big 12) hosts West Virginia (2-0, 0-0 Big 12) Sunday to open conference play. Iowa State and West Virginia will square off at 9 a.m. at Life Time Fitness in Urbandale, Iowa.

LAST TIME vs. WEST VIRGINIA
Iowa State and West Virginia last met March 24th at the Summit Tennis Academy in Morgantown, West Virginia, where Iowa State lost 4-1.
Maty Cancini and Regina Espindola got things started for Iowa State in doubles play with a 6-3 win. After losses in tiebreaking matches by the No. 2 and 3 spots, the doubles point went to West Virginia.
In singles action, Ekaterina Repina defeated Sofia Duran 6-4, 6-4, to pick up the only point for Iowa State.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State fell to Iowa 4-1 Feb. 8 at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex in Iowa City.
The Cyclones struck first and claimed the doubles point with wins coming from the duos of Maty Cancini and Annabella Bonadonna in the No. 1 spot and Ekaterina Grib and Margarita Timakova in the No. 3 spot.
The Hawkeyes won the No. 1, 2, 4 and 6 singles matches to claim the victory.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Ekaterina Grib continues to be successful this season for the Cyclones. Grib remains undefeated in singles in dual play this season.
The freshman from Minsk, Belarus plays in the #3 singles spot and currently has an overall record of 27-16 in singles and doubles action.

-Annabella Bonadonna continues to draw closer to the first place spot for overall career wins in school history, being just eight wins away from first place. The senior currently sits in second place with 150 career victories.
-The duo of Maty Cancini and Annabella Bonadonna have won eight of their last 10 doubles matches and have a doubles record of 14-4 this season.
-Regina Espindola is just 11 wins outside of the top-5 on the overall career wins list with 122 overall career victories for the Cyclones.
-Espindola also has 58 career singles wins, tied for the 10th most in school history.
