The Bisons hit .241 in the first, but the Cyclone defense raised its game and restricted Lipscomb to -.059 hitting in the second. The Iowa State dominance, which got up to as many as 13 points, allowed the Cyclones to get some fresh faces some playing time. Set Three: Iowa State 25 Lipscomb 18
Lipscomb came out strong, posting a 5-0 run to get ahead 6-4. The lead was short-lived, as Holthaus got an ace to put the Cyclones back ahead at 7-6.
