LAWRENCE, Kan. – Iowa State went 4-2 in singles action, with Chie Kezuka finishing 2-0, as the Cyclones wrapped up action Sunday at the Kansas Invitational.
Kezuka had a strong Sunday, beating Kansas State's Margot Decker and Kansas' Julia Deming in a pair of convincing wins.
Ting-Pei Chang won a three-set thriller, downing Ioana Gheorghita, 7-5, 5-7, 7-5.
In doubles action, freshman Ellie Murphy teamed up with Cancini to earn a 6-1 win against Kansas State's Rosanna Maffei and Ioana Gheorghita. Murphy finished with an unblemished 3-0 record in doubles action this weekend.
Iowa State returns to action Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at the K-State Fall Invitational.
