Grohn Will Return For Another Season

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior golfer Amelia Grohn will be back for another season in 2020-21.
Grohn was wrapping up what would've been her final year of eligibility this past year until it all abruptly came to an end when the NCAA canceled the remainder of the year due to threats of COVID-19.
The NCAA announced last week that all spring sport student-athletes were allowed an extra year of eligibility, a decision the Iowa State Athletics Department and Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard strongly endorsed.
Grohn announced her decision to return via the Iowa State Women's Golf twitter page this morning.
A native of Coffs Harbour, Australia, Grohn has been a regular in the Cyclone lineup for four seasons. She's competed in three NCAA Regional tournaments and ended the 2019-20 campaign with a 74.95 stroke average. Her 74.96 career scoring mark ranks fourth in Iowa State history.
