AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State swimming and diving team has been named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America team for the fall 2020 semester, an honor Iowa State has received for over 30 consecutive years now.
As a team, Iowa State put up a GPA of 3.69, ranking them in the top-20 percent of over 180 Division I schools. The Cyclones have claimed a GPA of over 3.6 for four of the last five semesters.
Teams receive Scholar All-America honors for achieving a GPA of 3.0 or higher over the semester. Iowa State posted the second-highest GPA in the Big 12, as all Big 12 teams cemented CSCAA Scholar All-America team status.
"Our women had another outstanding team GPA this past fall semester," head coach Duane Sorenson said. "I'm so proud of the way they have adjusted to taking classes be it online, in person or as a hybrid class. Twenty-two of our 30 women earned Dean's List honors and the other eight were named scholar-athletes by our athletics department."
