SARASOTA, Fla. – The Iowa State women's golf team finished fourth in the 15-team field at the Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate this afternoon. The Cyclones tallied a three-round total of 867 (291-283-293). Oklahoma State took home the team title at 849.
Rookie Charley Jacobs picked up her first career top-10 finish, tying for seventh in the medalist race. Jacobs fired a 213 (69-65-79) and totaled 14 birdies in her three rounds. Her second-round 65 was the lowest score by a Cyclone freshman in school history and ties for the second-lowest score in school history.
Liyana Durisic posted a 72 in the final round to push her into a tie for 13th place in the medalist race at 216. Durisic now has back-to-back top-15 finishes to start her spring season.
Taglao Jeeravivitaporn finished inside the top-25, tying for 24th at 221 (77-72-72).
The Cyclones will head to Tucson, Ariz., for the Arizona Wildcat Invitational on March 8th.
