AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head women's golf coach Christie Martens announced a new addition to her team in Warda Amira Rawof, who has been one of East Tennessee State's top players the last three seasons.
A native of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Rawof has signed her financial aid agreement to begin school at Iowa State in the fall of 2021. She will be a senior.
Rawof has competed in 68 rounds the last three seasons with the Buccaneers, compiling a 75.37 career stroke average.
Rawof had her best season in 2020-21. She posted three top-10 finishes and averaged 74.54 strokes per round on a team that won the Southern Conference and earned a NCAA Regional bid.
She won her first career collegiate tournament at the Terrier Intercollegiate and was an All-SoCon performer, tying for ninth at the Southern Conference championship.
