Cyclonitas Jump Up To Third Place At Stanford Intercollegiate

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women's golf team jumped up six spots in the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate. The Cyclones carded a 283 and will head into the final round of the tournament in third place.
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn led the way in round two with a five-under round of 66. Chul-Ak-Sorn knocked in seven birdies and finds herself in a tie for second place with a 138 two-round tally.
Taglao Jeeravivitaporn posted a three-over round of 74 to finish inside the top-15 heading into the last day. Jeeravivitaporn was able to tag three birdies on to her score card and finished with a 141 total.
Pammy Chookaew finished third on the team with a 143 tally after carding rounds of 72 and 71. Chookaew's even round of 71 included two birdies and only two bogeys.
Liyana Durisic was able to get it going in the second round, posting a one-over round of 72. Durisic moved up 19 places to and currently holds a 150 two-round total.
Charley Jacobs rounds out the Cyclones top-five with a 78 in the second round. Jacobs posted a 152 total through the first two days.
The final round of the Stanford Intercollegiate will begin Sunday, Oct. 23 with the Cyclones teeing off at 10:30 p.m. CDT.
