AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State (3-3-3) women's soccer played to a 0-0 draw on Thursday night versus Kansas State (4-4-2). Tonight, marked the first time the Cyclones and Wildcats played to a draw in their six game history.
Senior goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz recorded 10 saves and her third clean sheet of the season on Thursday. In the shutout, Silkowitz ended KSU's seven-game streak of scoring at least one goal.
Iowa State will have another opportunity to go for the program's 100th win at home on Sunday, when it hosts the West Virginia Mountaineers.
How It HappenedÂ
Iowa State recorded three shots in the first 12 minutes of action.
Two shots were blocked, and one was off target.
Kansas State recorded their first shot on goal of the match in the 15th minute.
The shot was saved by Jordan Silkowitz.
For the final 30 minutes of the first half, the Cyclones would record four shots while the Wildcats tallied six.
At halftime, the Cyclones and Wildcats each recorded eight shots.
Four of the Cyclones eight shots were on target.
Two ISU shots were off target and two were blocked.
Jordan Silkowitz had five saves at the break.
To begin the second half, Kansas State tallied three shots on goal before Iowa State recorded their first shot on goal in the 60th minute.
Jada Colbert's shot was saved by KSU.
After the 60th minute shot by Colbert, ISU wouldn't record another second half shot on goal.
KSU would take four shots on goal after the 60th minute.
Three were saved by Silkowitz and one was off target.
Jordan Silkowitz finished the night with 10 saves and her third double-digit save match of the season.

"In previous years, we would find ourselves not playing at our best and we would lose games. Tonight, we didn't play our best and we battled to a draw. The fact that we came out of the game tonight with a positive result is something this team hasn't been capable of in previous years."
