AMES, Iowa - Iowa State women's soccer will turn their attention to in-state rival Iowa when they host the Hawkeyes on Thursday for their first home match of the 2022 season. Thursday marks the first time the Cyclones have hosted the Hawkeyes since 2018.
Thursday's matchup will be the first event of the 2022-23 Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series.Â
Kickoff for Thursday's match is slated for 6 p.m. (CT) and can be streamed on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cyclones were defeated by the Kentucky Wildcats last Sunday 4-0 in the first ever matchup between the two programs.
SCOUTING THE HAWKEYES
Iowa is 2-2-2 so far this season, having tied each of their last two contests. The Hawkeyes have posted a 1-1-1 record on the road so far this season.
The Hawkeyes are led by junior midfielder Kyndal Anderson. Anderson has recorded six points on the young season, including three goals. Teammate Camille Welker, a freshman defender, is second on the team in points with two and second on the team in goals with one.Â
Between the posts, Redshirt Senior Monica Wilhelm is responsible for two shutouts and has collected 18 saves.

The Cyclones will welcome the South Dakota Coyotes to the Cyclone Soccer Complex on Sunday, Sept. 11. The matchup with the Coyotes will be preceded by a Senior Day celebration. Iowa State will honor eight seniors prior to kickoff at 1:00 p.m (CT).Â
