Iowa State Finishes Eighth In Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Iowa State men's golf team placed eighth overall at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz. The Cyclones finished with a team score of 859 (287-285-287).

Luke Gutschewski led the team with a three-round total of 213 (70-69-74). Gutschewski carded 11 birdies throughout the tournament and finished in a tie for 24th place.

Paul Beauvy placed second on the team and in a tie for 27th in the individual standings. Beauvy recorded seven birdies and tallied a 214 (70-73-71) in three rounds.

Senior Nate Vance and Lukas Pany concluded their week with a tie for 35th place finish. Vance and Pany carded a 216 54-hole total and Pany tied his career-low round with a final round 68 that included six birdies.

Zach May rounded out the Cyclones top-five with an 81st place finish. May concluded his week with a final round 74 and an eagle on the fifth hole.

The Cyclones will tee it up at The Prestige at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif. on Feb. 20-22.
