AMES, Iowa -Â Iowa State men's golf is back, kicking off the spring season in Tucson, Arizona for the N.I.T. The tournament starts on Monday, January 26th and concludes on Tuesday, January 27th.

COURSE INFORMATION
A historic host of countless PGA Tour and NCAA events, the Catalina Course (par 72 and 7200 yards) has long provided a fair test of golf to players of every caliber. Beginning in 1965, when nationally televised images of players like Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Lee Trevino walked onto the lush green fairways in the middle of winter, Tucson, Arizona was confirmed as a prime golf destination. Today, the Catalina Course remains host to the Cologuard Classic -- A PGA Tour Champions Event.
KEY STORYLINES
- Back in October, the Cyclones finished in 9th at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational that was reduced to two rounds due to weather. Zach May tied for second (-6), his third Top-3 finish of his career.Â
- May carded a team-high 10 birdies and recorded his third-lowest 18 (68) in the first round. Paul Beauvy finished in 13th (-1), and carded his 25th round in the 60's in the first round (69).
- At the Git R Done Invitational, three Cyclones finished in the Top-10. Owen Sawyer led the charge, tying for 5th (-4), his second-best finish. Jackson McCommon placed the best finish of his career (7th), and Beauvy rounded it out by tying for 8th.
- Beauvy started the 2025-26 season strong, earning medalist honors at the Gopher Invitational, the second win of his career. The senior carded three rounds in the 60's (69-69-67, -8) and tallied a team-high 11 birdies.
- Beauvy's first career win came at last year's N.I.T., where he carded a career-best 201 (-15). Beauvy tied both the third-lowest 54 hole score and the third-lowest round in school history in the third round (64). Beauvy also scored a hole-in-one on Hole 17's Par 3 in the third round, his second ace of his career.
