AMES, Iowa – Iowa State track and field is set to host the ISU Holiday Invite to open the home slate Friday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9.

Field and multi-events will take place Friday, beginning with the weight throw at noon. Saturday will begin with heptathlon 60-meter hurdles at 10:30 a.m. with field events slated for 11:20 a.m.
Distance runners began the season at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, putting up two top 10 program performances. In the first track race of his Iowa State career, Sanele Masondo went out to the fourth-fastest 5,000-meter run performance with 13:33.61. Masondo cut nearly 30 seconds off his personal best to post the current 20th-fastest time in NCAA Division I. Madelynn Hill trimmed 42 seconds off her indoor best running to 16:02.33, the eighth-fastest performance in ISU history.
Up next for Iowa State is the Hawkeye Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 13.
