Cyclonitas Wrap Up Day One At The Dick McGuire Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Iowa State women's golf team opened the season at the Dick McGuire Invitational, ending the day in ninth with a team score of 589.
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn tied for 13th leading the Cyclonitas and shooting two-under-par with a pair of 71s. Chul-Ak-Sorn had 10 birdies on the day, four of them in the last six holes of round two.Â
Returning senior, Liyana Durisic, tied for 28th coming in second for the Cyclonitas with an overall score of 146.Â
Freshman, Keeley Marx, and Pammy Chookaew both carded a 151 with a combined eight birdies. Marx ended day one with an eagle on the final hole of round two.
Tess Blair carded a 156 with two birdies in the final 18 holes.Â
The Cyclonitas will complete the final round of the Dick McGuire Invitational as a shotgun start on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 8:30 a.m. C.T.
