Chul-Ak-Sorn Tied for First After Round Two

TUCSON, Ariz. - Following the second round of the MountainView Intercollegiate, Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn is tied for first with Maria Jose Marin from No. 6 Arkansas with a score of six-under-par. The Cyclonitas are tied with No. 33 Houston for third, trailing No. 17 Texas A&M and No. 42 South Florida by one stroke.Â
Following the first round of the tournament on Friday, March 15 Chul-Ak-Sorn was tied for second after shooting a 68. The sophomore is now tied for first after carding a second round score of two-under-par (70). Liyana Durisic is tied for fifth, trailing Chul-Ak-Sorn by three strokes for a two-round score of 141 with seven birdies through the first two rounds. Tess Blair shot a second round 67, improving her score from the first round by 10 strokes. Blair is in a tie for 18 with a score of 144 (E).Â
Freshman Keeley Marx is tied for 52 improving from her first round score by four strokes. Marx had four birdies in the second round of the tournament. Pammy Chookaew is in 76 with a score of 156. Chookaew shot three birdies in the second round, two more than she shot in the first round.Â
The Cyclonitas will tee off for the final round of the MountainView Intercollegiate on Sunday, March 17 at 9:45 am (CT).
