AMES, Iowa – The 2024 track and field season has reached the point all have been working towards, NCAA Outdoor Championships hosted by Oregon at historic Hayward Field June 5-8. Iowa State totals a program-record 14 entries, nine men in seven events and five women in five events.

The No. 16 Iowa State men secured nine entries, tied for the 10th-most in the nation. Iowa State has at least one entry in each of the distance races from 800m to 10,000m, one of just two schools to do so. The men also have an entry in both the shot put and discus, making for the first time since 1999 for the Cyclone men to have entries in both. The women hold entries in the long jump, 400m, 800m, 5,000m and 3,000m steeplechase.

NCAA Championships will be broadcast on ESPN2 for days one through three and on ESPN for the final day. Field events will also all have their own dedicated stream on ESPN+. For more information on the broadcast schedule, click here.

Like NCAA West Prelims, NCAA Championships will be a four-day format with men competing on the first and third day and the women on the second and fourth day. Field events, the 5,000m and 10,000m are all a final, while the 400m, 800m, 1,500m and steeplechase will have semifinals and a final round. In the steeple and 1,500m, 12 will advance to the final while nine advance in the 400m and 800m.
