AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State women's head track and field coach Dick Lee and assistant coach for sprints Scott Roberts have announced that two-time Texas state 100-meter hurdle champion Kristin Wallace will continue her career as a Cyclone.
The Abilene, Texas, native notched her state championship titles in 2002 and 2003 in class 3A competion representing Whyle High School. In 2002, she set the Texas state meet record in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.04. Wallace owns a personal record of 13.96 in the 100-meter hurdles that was set during the 2003 season.
"We are very excited about Kristin attending Iowa State." Lee said. "She is very talented and has great potential to improve during her collegiate career."
