AMES, Iowa - The ISU Swimming and Diving team held the annual intrasquad meet Friday night. The Gold team took the victory with 103 points while the Cardinal team posted 100 points.

Lauren Breunig, junior, placed first in all three of the races she was involved in for the Gold team. Breunig took top honors in the 200 IM (2:09.58), 100 free (54.25) and was the lead-off leg in the first place 200 free relay (1:41.23).
Junior Chelsey Walden took first place in two of the three events she competed in for the Cardinal squad. The Madison, Wisc. native placed first in the 200 free with a time of 1:57.13 and in the 500 free (5:08.09).
"I thought Lauren Breunig and Chelsey Walden swam very strong races," Sorenson.
Senior Hillary Nichols, Thunder Bay, Ontario, took first place in the 1-meter dive (256.15) and on the platform (152.25).
Emily Welborn, sophomore finished first with a time of 58.74 in the 100 butterfly.
"Nice to see Emily Welborn start off the season like she ended it last year in her fly," Sorenson said.
The Cyclones next competition will be in Columbia, Mo. at the Big 12 Relays, while their next home meet isn't until Friday, Dec. 3 against intrastate rival Iowa.
