ISU Finishes Day One at Georgia Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. - The Iowa State diving team finished day one at the Georgia Diving Invitational with a pair of top-12 finishes as Tien Tran and Kali Fryklund finished in 10th and 11th place, respectively, on the 3-meter board.
All divers performed six optional dives with the top-12 divers advancing to the finals. In the finals, Tran scored a 237.65 to finish 10th while Fryklund's 218.55 was good for 11th place.
The competition will continue tomorrow with Fryklund, Tran and sophomore teammate Haley Haynes competing for ISU on the 1-meter board. The invitational will conclude on Friday with Tran and Fryklund competing on the platform.
