AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State soccer team (6-4) fell 2-1 to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits (4-4) Sunday at the Cyclone Sports Complex. The Cyclones kickoff off their Big 12 schedule Friday, Sept. 26th at Oklahoma State at 7 p.m.
Turning Point of the Game
Right before halftime South Dakota State's Tori Poole fired a shot from 22 yards out that hit the cross bar and ricocheted into the Cyclone goal. The Jackrabbits took momentum heading into the locker room and held off Iowa State's attacks in the second half to earn the victory.
Cyclone Game Ball Goes To…
Koree Willer. Iowa State's leading scorer, recorded her eighth goal of the season in the 27th minute after she was sassisted by Hayley Womack. Womack found a streaking Willer and the sophomore did what she has done all season, burying the ball into the Jackrabbits net. Willer's eight goals this season are tied for the seventh most ever scored by an Iowa State soccer player in a season.
Game Notes
*Koree Willer scored her eighth goal of the season, which ranks seventh all-time in ISU history for goals in a season.
*Andrea Swanson recorded five saves. She now has 193 in her career.

Iowa State kicks off conference play against Oklahoma State Friday at 7 p.m. in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
