General Hackler Championship

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Nick Voke shared medalist honors at the General Hackler Championship this afternoon, carding a final-round 72 for a three-round 212 (4-under) tally.
The victory was Voke's second of the season and the Cyclones' fourth medalist of the year – two by Voke, two by Scott Fernandez.
Voke was two shots out of the lead heading into the final round thanks to a second-round 65 which got him in contention. His 7-under tally equaled the school record for lowest 18-hole score in relation to par. It also set the course record at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club, which opened in 1948.
Voke had three birdies en route to his even-par round today. His finish helped the Cyclones place third as a team at 876, three shots behind second-place North Carolina State. North Florida was the team champion at 861.
The Cyclones also received help from senior All-American Fernandez, who tied for fourth at 215 (69-71-75). It was Fernandez' school-record 25th career top-10 finish. Fernandez was the medalist in ISU's last tournament (NIT), marking the second time this season where ISU has medalists in back-to-back tournaments.
The Cyclones are back in action, March 19-21 at the Desert Shootout.
