AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State men's track and field team begin the 2016 season Saturday at the Penn State Relays. Led by Director of Track and Field and Cross Country
Martin Smith, the Cyclones traveled a group of 10 student-athletes who will compete for Iowa State, plus an unattached runner to State College, Pennsylvania.

Iowa State will start at 10:40 a.m. Central Time with a trio of Cyclones in the men's mile in
Toby Hardwick,
Brian Llamas and
Daniel Everett. Hardwick and Llamas ran for ISU in the cross country season while Everett, a Columbia University transfer, will be making his Cyclone debut.
Another debutant Cyclone will run at 12:20 p.m. Central, with Iowa Central transfer
Deon Sanders taking part in the 500-meter run. ISU will return to the track at 2:05 p.m. in the men's 4x800-meter relay.
The ISU men finished third in the distance medley relay at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, and will begin its effort to earn All-America honors again at 3:55 p.m. The only returnee from the NCAA quartet in 2015 is
Christian DeLago.
The Cyclones will close out competition at 4:10 p.m. with the 3,000-meter run.
Josef Andrews will represent Iowa State, while three-time Iowa High School Gatorade Athlete of the Year
Thomas Pollard will run unattached.
