GOLF, Ill. — The Iowa State women's golf team finished 12th at the Windy City Collegiate Classic with a two-day total of 888, carding rounds of 286-297-305. Georgia won the team title at 854.
As has been the trend for the Cyclones, the tournament's field was packed with competition, including eight teams ranked in the Golfweek top-20.
Junior Nattapan Siritrai led Iowa State by notching rounds of 73-73-76 for a team-low total of 222, placing her in a tie for 38th. Junior M.J. Kamin also contributed to the Iowa State charge, carding a career-low 70 during the first round of the tournament.
Sophomore Chayanit Wangmahaporn tied for 41st at 223.
The Cyclones will travel to Stanford, Calif., for their next meet on Oct. 14-16.
