Big 12 Championship
Iowa State is looking to extend its school-record three-year streak of top-three finishes at the Big 12 Championship. The Cyclones claimed third place in the 2013-14 and 2015-16 seasons and earned a second place finish in the 2014-15 year.
A fourth-straight year in the top-three would be the Cyclones' longest such streak at a conference championship since 1994. Taking second place would mark the first time Iowa State has finished in the top-two in two-of-three years since 1976.
Iowa State tied a school record with 15 All-Big 12 honors (earned via top-six finishes in individual events) at the 2016 Big 12 Championship, nine of which went to student-athletes who will compete for the Cyclones later this week.

2016-17 Regular Season in Brief Review
The Cyclones posted a 3-4-1 record on the year, including a 1-1-1 mark in Big 12 duals. Iowa State's conference record was composed of an early-season tie at TCU, a thrilling come-from-behind win over West Virginia in January and a loss at Kansas earlier this month.
Clive's own Julie Dickinson led the Cyclones in the diving well throughout the season as she posted the team's best scores on one-meter (309.15), three-meter (301.05) and platform (196.60). Dickinson and her fellow senior, Becky Stochl, consistently led an ISU diving squad that combated injuries throughout the season. Dickinson tallied 11 victories and combined with Stochl to earn another 11 top-three finishes on the season.
Dickinson enters the Big 12 Championship with four of the top-10 one-meter diving scores in school history to her name, three of which came this season.
Iowa State was led many familiar faces in the lanes during the 2016-17 campaign.
Mary Kate Luddy was the top Cyclone in both butterfly events, seniors Savanna Townsend and Maddie Rastall excelled in sprints and Iowa State's breaststroke trio of Danica Delaquis, Kasey Roberts and Megan Childs all posted strong seasons. Perhaps equally as important as the leaders that returned from last year were the new leaders that emerged for the Cyclones during the season.
Laura Miksch fired off the blocks for Cyclone sprinters this season, opening the year with four-straight victories in the 50 freestyle. Among those four victories was the top spot at the 2016 Kansas Classic, at which Miksch dropped .31 seconds from prelims to post a time of 23.18 for the win. On the season, Miksch won 6-of-9 50 freestyle races and took second place in the remaining three.
Freshman Keely Soellner burst onto the Cyclones' distance scene, notching six wins between the 500 and 1000 freestyle races. Two of those six wins came in last December's CyHawk meet, in which Soellner not only claimed victory but also knocked off the Iowa State record with a time of 9:56.76 – nearly six seconds faster than the previous mark. Soellner enters the Big 12 Championship as the team's leader in the 200, 500 and 1000 freestyles, and is less than one second behind fellow freshman Jessi Storer in the mile.
