HOUSTON, Texas – The No. 23 Iowa State women's golf team tied for 9th at The Dickson in Houston this afternoon at 299.
The tournament was shortened to 18 holes after heavy rain in the area canceled competition on Monday.
Clemson won the team title at 283 in a field of 17 teams. Eight teams in the tournament were ranked in the nation's top-50 according to Golfstat.
The Cyclones were led by freshman Alanna Campbell, who posted her second top-10 performance of the season by tying for fourth with a 2-under 70. Campbell had six birdies on her card today.
Chayanit Wangmahaporn tied for sixth, one shot behind Campbell at 71. It was her fourth top-10 of the season and 11th of her career.
The Cyclones are back in action at the March Mayhem Tournament, March 26-28 in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
