Cyclones Finish Sixth At UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla. - The No. 26 Iowa State women's golf team placed sixth (881) after firing a final-round 294 at the UCF Challenge this afternoon.

The tournament featured seven teams ranked in the top-50 in the latest Golfstat poll.

Miami won the tournament at 868, four strokes better than East Carolina (872).

Freshman Alanna Campbell was the leader for the Cyclones, recording the best finish of her career by tying for third with a career-low 216. She fired a career-low 70 this afternoon in a round which featured five birdies.

Junior Chayanit Wangmahaporn tied for 16th at 220, shooting rounds of 72-74-74.

Iowa State will be back in action, Feb. 11-13, at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
