Iowa State vs. West Virginia
The Cyclones are in search of a Big 12 win after falling to No. 9 Oklahoma State and No. 50 Oklahoma last weekend. ISU hopes to continue its strong 6-0 series lead against West Virginia, which currently holds a record of 7-4 for its spring season. Last season, the Cyclones defeated the Mountaineers at home, 4-2. Prior to hosting the Cyclones, West Virginia will take on Duquesne on Friday.Â
The Last ServeÂ
ISU enters the match after losing two matches on the road to Oklahoma State and Oklahoma last weekend. In both matches, the Cyclones were unable to secure the doubles point, making it difficult to get ahead. In its matchup against Oklahoma State, ISU fell 4-1, with Annabella Bonadonna securing the point at No. 6 singles action as she defeated Cowgirl Sami Court, 6-0, 6-0. The next day, the Cyclones dropped their match to Oklahoma, 4-0. Margarita Timakova, who played as the No. 6 singles player during the match, was leading 6-3, 4-3 versus Skyler Miller, but the match went unfinished.Â
