AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team (9-10, 0-3 Big 12) will host the Kansas Jayhawks on Friday, April 6 at 3 p.m., followed by the Kansas State Wildcats on Sunday, April 8 at 10 a.m. Both matches will be played at the Life Time Fitness Center in Urbandale, Iowa.
Iowa State vs. Kansas
Iowa State enters into its match against Kansas following a win against Drake. The Cyclones beat the Bulldogs, 4-3. Kansas, who currently holds a record of 11-4 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 play, leads its 48-match history with ISU, 44-4. Last season, the Cyclones and the Jayhawks met at Lawrence, where KU captured a 4-0 victory.
Iowa State vs. Kansas State
Kansas State, who has posted a 12-5 overall record and is 2-2 in conference action, enters the weekend looking to bounce back following a 4-0 loss to Texas Tech. The Wildcats have wins this season against TCU and Baylor. KSU also leads their series record with the Cyclones, 32-13, including a 4-1 win last season in Manhattan.

In its win over Drake, ISU secured the doubles point as No. 2 partners Annabella Bonadonna and Erin Freeman won their match, 6-4, while Margarita Timakova and Ekaterina Repina captured a 6-2 victory at the No. 3 position. In singles action, Repina, Timakova and Bonadonna came out with wins, clinching the win for the Cyclones. Timakova participated in an impressive match up as she bounced back to win 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 over Bulldog Kenya Williams.
