Cyclones Finish Fourth At Wildcat Invitational

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Iowa State women's golf team (287-307-302=896) finished fourth at the Wildcat Invitational after carding a final-round 32.

Iowa State held a share of the lead after 36 holes, but Arizona State surged on the final day to win the tournament at 886, seven shots better than Oregon.

The tournament featured six teams ranked in the nation's top-50 according to Golfstat.

Senior Chayanit Wangmahaporn (70-74-77=221) tied for eighth in the medalist race to pick up her 13^th career top-10 performance.

Wangmahaporn leads the Cyclones in birdies on the season, adding nine more in this event to bring her season total up to 60.

Sophomore Alanna Campbell (73-79-75=227) had her best finish of the season (T22) and Amelia Grohn bounced back on the final day by firing a team-low 73.

The Cyclones will head back to Tucson, Ariz. for the Mountain View Collegiate, March 22-24.
