AMES, Iowa - Iowa State (5-11, 1-7 Big 12) will honor its three seniors Sunday when they take on Baylor (7-19, 1-6 Big 12) Sunday at the Life Time Fitness in Urbandale, Iowa at noon.

"[The seniors] helped move this program forward," head coach Boomer Saia said. "They've taken some initiative and a positive mindset that has really been infectious to some of our younger players."
Annabella Bonadonna and Regina Espindola are two of the best to ever don the Cardinal and Gold. The pair have accounted for 132 singles wins throughout their careers and both sit inside the top ten on Iowa State's overall career singles win list. Additionally, both seniors find themselves in the top six on the overall career wins list.
The seniors have led the Cyclones to 43 dual wins for the Cyclones. This season, the pair led Iowa State to their first win over Nebraska since 1995.
"This senior class has been the start of the tidal wave," Saia said. "They've started that momentum that we're going to carry into future years."
SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Annabella Bonadonna
Annabella Bonadonna has cemented herself as one of the best in Cyclone Tennis history. Entering the weekend, Bonadonna ranks second on Iowa State's overall career wins list with 157Â victories. The Caracas, Venezuela native sits just two wins behind Cyclone great Kathy Reisinger for first place on the list.
Additionally, Bonadonna has recorded the most career doubles wins in a Cyclone uniform with 85 doubles victories. In singles action, Bonadonna's 72 career wins is the third-best in Iowa State history.
Of the players in the top 10 on the overall career wins list, Bonadonna has the least amount of losses. She's finished every season with more than 35 overall wins.
Bonadonna compiled one of the best freshman campaigns in Iowa State history, finishing her first season with a 40-19 overall record. She started her sophomore dual season with a 9-1 record en route to a 38 win season.
Her career resume includes winning the top singles bracket at the Cal State-Northridge Fall Invitational during her junior season.
Bonadonna has made the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll twice and has been an ISU Scholar-Athlete for the last two years. She will graduate with a degree in accounting.
Regina Espindola
Regina Espindola will end her career with the sixth most overall wins in Cyclone Tennis history. Entering Sunday's match against Baylor, the senior has amassed 124 overall career victories.
The Tabasco, Mexico native currently has 60 career singles wins, tied for the ninth-most in school history. Additionally, her 64 career doubles victories are the fifth-most in Iowa State history.
As a freshman, Espindola won her bracket at the Juan Varon Memorial Invitational en route to a 28 win rookie campaign. Her sophomore season included a career-best 12 match singles win streak.
During her junior season, Espindola and her doubles partner Maty Cancini tallied 22 doubles wins, tied for the 10th-most in a single-season in school history.
Last season, Espindola garnered Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors and was an ISU Scholar-Athlete. She was a member of  the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll three times and will graduate with a degree in supply chain management.
Liera Bender
Liera Bender battled injuries throughout her career, but flourished in the classroom. The Urbandale, Iowa native has made the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll three times. Additionally, she was an ISU Scholar-Athlete in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Bender earned a degree in psychology in the spring of 2018.
