BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Iowa State women's golf team placed eighth at the Big 12 Championship at the Golf Club of Oklahoma.
The Cyclones carded a 307 this afternoon for a 54-hole 929 total. No. 2 Texas won the team title at 877.
Amelia Grohn and Alanna Campbell were the Cyclone leaders, tying for 12th at 228. Grohn fired rounds of 75-78-75.
Campbell closed the tournament with an even-par 72, the lowest card of the tournament for the Cyclones. Campbell's round featured three birdies and she was 2-under in her last 14 holes to make a huge jump on the leaderboard. It also tied for the second-lowest score of the final round.
Next up for the Cyclones is the NCAA Regional, May 6-8 at a site to be determined. NCAA Regional participants will be decided in late April.
