Iowa State closed out the double dual with a close finish in the 200 free relay. The team of Andersen, Haas, Goushchina and Sass beat out North Texas and UNI with a time of 1:36.69. North Texas came in second by touching the wall at 1:36.92.
"We challenged them last night to come back and perform just as well this morning and they all stepped up to the challenge and did an outstanding job," said head coach Duane Sorenson. "We had so many swims where people really finished strong and raced hard into the wall and that is something we haven't been doing a very good job of all year. I thought we did a great job today."
