AMES, Iowa – The No. 18 Iowa State wrestling team (6-4, 3-1 Big 12) sets off on the road to face Oklahoma (3-5, 1-4 Big 12) on Sunday afternoon. The dual between the Cyclones and Sooners is set to begin at 2 p.m. in McCasland Field House.

CYCLONE NOTEBOOK
-No. 18 Iowa State concludes its road-Big 12 slate with contest in Norman, Okla., on Sunday afternoon, taking on the Sooners in McCasland Field House.
-It was announced that the dual between Iowa State and North Dakota State has been rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. Tickets originally purchased are still valid and can be used that day.
-The Cyclones are ranked No. 18 in the NWCA National Coaches Poll this week. ISU is also ranked No. 11, 11 and 14 in the FloWrestling, Intermat and TrackWrestling team rankings.
-Alex Mackall (8, 12, 11), Todd Small (16, 16, 14), Ian Parker (8, 6, 8), Jarrett Degen (7, 7, 7), David Carr (3, 3, 3), Chase Straw (NR, NR, 31), Sam Colbray (21, NR, 22), Marcus Coleman (24, NR, 30), Joel Shapiro (NR, NR, 33) and Gannon Gremmel (12, 14, 14) all are ranked in the FloWrestling, Intermat and Trackwrestling polls this week.
-Iowa State's 10 individually ranked wrestlers are the most of any Big 12 team.
-Last weekend, ISU traveled to Fresno State where they took down the Bulldogs, 34-9. Iowa State won seven out of the 10 bouts in the dual, taking four by major decision, two by fall and one by forfeit.
-One of the two pins came from Jarrett Degen, who has been sidelined for over two months. In his return to the mat, he pinned Greg Gaxiola in 4:29.
-Ian Parker extended his win streak to eight matches in a row. During that time, Parker has not been taken down, defeated three opponents ranked in the top-20, won two matches by fall and one by major decision.
-Head coach Kevin Dresser is switching up his lineup, bumping Sam Colbray down to 174 and Marcus Coleman up to 184. The Cyclones will look to keep this lineup for the remainder of 2019-20.
-David Carr leads the team in dual takedowns (34), back points (34) and total points scored (121).
-It's been all hands-on-deck for Dresser's lineup this season. In 10 duals this season, the Cyclones have featured five unique lineups. 14 Cyclones have suited up in dual action this season with Mackall, Small, Parker and Gremmel wrestling in all 10 duals at the same weight.
-The Duals on the Diamond was a unique event, wrestled at Chase Field. It was the first collegiate wrestling event to be held at a Major League Baseball stadium. The Cyclones went 1-2 at the event, taking down Harvard, but falling to Campbell and Arizona State
-Iowa State sent a troupe of grapplers to the Southern Scuffle. Gannon Gremmel emerged as the heavyweight champion of the tournament, posting a 5-0 record while outscoring his opponents 36-13.
-ISU finished sixth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, the second-best finish at the event in program history. In total, six Iowa State wrestlers reached the podium in Vegas.
-Alex Mackall (5th), Todd Small (4th), Ian Parker (4th), Jarrett Degen (6th), David Carr (3rd) and Gannon Gremmel (4th) made up the podium Cyclones at the CKLV.
-The attendance for the Iowa State-Iowa Dual (11,238) was the most in the last 20 years and the 10th-largest in Hilton Coliseum history.
-The Cyclone wrestling roster continues to mature. After only returning one NCAA Qualifier for the 2018-19 season, Iowa State will return eight NCAA Qualifiers (Mackall, Gomez, Parker, Degen, Straw, Coleman, Colbray and Gremmel) and one All-American (Degen).
-Dresser improved his all-time dual wins to 184 against FSU. He currently ranks as the No. 17 winningest active coach in Division I wrestling.
