Schlossmacher Smith Takes on Zones

AMES, Iowa – Michelle Schlossmacher Smith heads to Lexington, Kentucky to compete in the 2021 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships March 11-13. Schlossmacher Smith will represent Iowa State as she competes on the one-meter, three-meter and platform.

One-meter diving will take place on the first day, with the three-meter to follow as competition will conclude on the platform on the final day. The top-18 divers from prelims will move on to finals with events starting at 10:30 a.m. each day.

Schlossmacher Smith most recently became a three-time finalist at the 2021 Big 12 Championship while tallying an additional Zone-qualifying mark in each event. The junior notched her first-career platform cut and has totaled four on one-meter, five on three-meter and three on platform this season. Schlossmacher Smith knocked down all her previous PRs for the second-consecutive season en route to solidifying one 'A' and two 'B' cuts.
