Inclement Weather Postpones Events at NCAA West Prelims

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Due to rain and lightning in the early evening and continuing into the night, Friday's men's running events at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships West Preliminaries have been postponed to Saturday.
Men's running events will now begin at 11:30 a.m., with the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5,000-meter run taking part later in the day. A full breakdown of ISU's schedule for Saturday can be found below.
Friday's men's field events at E.B. Cushing Stadium were completed, with Kevin Sakson competing in the discus throw before weather halted proceedings about 15 minutes prior to the first running events.
