Pre-Seeds for Big 12 Championship Announced

IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference released the pre-seeds on Monday afternoon for the upcoming Big 12 Championship. Iowa State has six wrestlers seeded in the top four, including a pair of top seeds in Ian Parker (141) and David Carr (157).
Parker was the 2020 Big 12 Champion, while Carr has won the last two 157 pound titles at the Big 12 Championship. At 184 pounds, Marcus Coleman is seeded second. The Cyclones have a pair of number three seeds in Jarrett Degen (149) and Sam Schuyler (285), while Yonger Bastida is seeded fourth at 197 pounds.
Preliminary brackets for the Big 12 Championship will be released on Wednesday, March 2. Pre-seeds and preliminary brackets are subject to change at the Big 12 Coaches Meeting on Friday evening.
