Brackets For Big 12 Wrestling Championship Released

IRVING, Texas - The Big 12 Conference has released the brackets for the Big 12 Wrestling Championships, set for March 5-6 in Tulsa, Okla. Iowa State will have three wrestlers in opening round matches, while seven have earned byes into the quarterfinals.
Top-seeded Ian Parker will face Oklahoma's Jacob Butler in the first round at 141 pounds. In the dual match earlier this year, Parker defeated Butler 8-3.
At 157 pounds, top-seeded David Carr will face Air Force's Giano Petrucelli. Saturday will be the first meeting between Carr and Petrucelli.
Third-seeded Sam Schuyler will face Wyoming's Terren Swartz in the first round. Schuyler defeated Swartz by 12-5 decision earlier this season.
No. 6 Kysen Terukina (125), No. 5 Ramazan Attasauov (133), No. 3 Jarrett Degen (149), No. 7 Isaac Judge (165), No. 7 Joel Devine (174), No. 2 Marcus Coleman (184) and No. 4 Yonger Bastida (197) all have a bye into the quarterfinals.
