Cyclones to Host Coyotes on Senior Day

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State Women's Soccer team is back in action on Sunday, Sep. 11, at the Cyclone Soccer Complex. This time, they will square off against the South Dakota Coyotes. Iowa State will look to win back-to-back home matches for the first time since 2014.

The matchup with the Coyotes will be preceded by a Senior Day celebration. Iowa State will honor eight seniors prior to kickoff at 1:00 p.m (CT).

LAST TIME OUT

Iowa State defeated in-state rival Iowa 2-1 this past Thursday. Jada Colbert recorded two goals against the Hawkeyes, while goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz set a new career high with 12 saves.

SCOUTING THE COYOTES

South Dakota is 1-5-2 on the young season, and come into this matchup looking to pick up their first road win of the year.

The Coyotes will be visiting Ames with a balanced attack. Senior Shaylee Gailus leads the team with three goals while four teammates are tied with two.

Goalkeeper Caroline Lewis carries a .636 save percentage and has collected 28 saves so far this season.
