LEXINGTON, Ky. - After their first non-conference win over a ranked opponent since 2016, Iowa State Soccer will head to Lexington, Kentucky to face the Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday. Sunday's match will be the first time that the Cyclones and Wildcats will play one another. It will also be the first time that Iowa State has traveled to the state of Kentucky for a match.
Kickoff for Sunday's match is slated for 12 p.m. (CT) and can be streamed on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
This past Thursday, the Cyclones picked up a victory over the No. 24 ranked Michigan Wolverines 3-2.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Kentucky is 4-1 in the early goings of the season. The Wildcats lost their first match of the season this past Thursday when they dropped a 1-0 match to Western Kentucky.Â
The Wildcats are led by Senior Jordyn Rhodes who leads the Wildcats with three goals and an assist, while teammate Junior Ulfar Ulfarsdottir has recorded a pair of goals along with two assists herself.
Goalkeeper Tellulah Miller boasts an .066 goals against average and a .786 save percentage.

The Cyclones will host in-state rival Iowa in their first home match of the season on Thursday, Sept. 8th. Thursday will be the first Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series event of the 2022-23 year. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT).
