No. 6 Iowa State Falls On Road To No. 14 Texas

AUSTIN, Texas – No. 6 Iowa State fell to No. 14 Texas in its first Big 12 road match Friday afternoon. Cyclones drop to 12-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Iowa State struggled to get anything going early on in the match.
The Cyclones dropped the doubles point by way of losses on courts No. 2 and No. 3.
In singles, despite forcing third sets on courts No. 1, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, Iowa State was not able to pull out the comeback.
No. 51 Thasaporn Naklo was the lone athlete that was able to put the team on the board. The senior was able to defeat No. 76 Nicole Khirin in three sets, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.
Iowa State will be back in action on Sunday when they take on No. 59 Baylor.
