Iowa State Moves Into Fifth Place At The Big 12 Women's Golf Championship

DALLAS, Tex. – The Iowa State women's golf team moves into fifth place after the second day of the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship at Dallas Athletic Club. The Cyclones fired a two-under 286 which ties the second lowest conference team round in school history.
Liyana Durisic got back on track with a four-under 68 to move up into a tie for 30th place. Durisic's round of 68 tied the second lowest conference 18-hole score in program history. During her round, Durisic recorded seven birdies and went three-under on her back nine.
Pammy Chookaew remains at the top of the leaderboard in a tie for first place at four-under-par. The freshman followed up her record-setting performance with a one-over round of 73 that included four birdies. Â
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn carded an even score of 72 during her second round. The freshman currently sits in a tie for 14th place with a 146 (74-72) total. Chul-Ak-Sorn has knocked in seven birdies on the week and looks to grab her seventh top-15 finish of the season.
Ruby Chou finished seven shots better than her round one score after posting a one-over round of 73 on day two. Chou's 73 included three birdies and she finds herself in 32nd place.
Taglao Jeeravivitaporn rounds out the team's top-five after carding her second-straight round of 77. Jeeravivitaporn has made five birdies on the week and currently sits in a tie for 33rd place in the individual standings.
The Cyclones will tee off for the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship final round at 9:00 a.m. CT on Sunday, Apr. 23. Final round coverage will be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ starting at 12:30 p.m. CT.
