AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team opens its' dual season Saturday at Life Time Fitness in Urbandale with matches against South Dakota and Missouri State.

THE SERIES
Cyclones vs. Coyotes
Iowa State and South Dakota are meeting for the eighth time. The Cyclones are undefeated against South Dakota, with a 7-0 record. The last meeting between these two schools took place in January of 2023, ending with an Iowa State win, 7-0.
Cyclones vs. Bears
Iowa State and Missouri State will face off for the 12th time on Saturday, with the Cyclones leading the all-time series, 8-3. Against the Bears, the Cyclones hold a 2-0 home record, with the last meeting between these two schools taking place in October of 1992.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State competed in the Duel in the Desert in Palm Springs, California, to start their spring season. Iowa State freshman Gala Arangio, Caroline Nicholls and Ashlee Narker all grabbed their first collegiate victories to cap off a successful weekend for the Cyclones. PLAYER TO WATCH
Juliette Nask went 2-1 in singles play at the Duel in the Desert, picking up wins against Kansas' Heike Janse Van Vuuren and Clemson's Eleni Louka. The Michigan State transfer will look to continue that success going into the first dual matches of the season.
CYCLONE TENNIS QUICK HIT
STARTING STRONG - Iowa State has won its last three season openers against South Dakota, Illinois State and Drake while only losing one match during those games. The Cyclones will look to continue that streak as they begin their spring dual season.
