AMES, Iowa – Iowa State track and field hosts the Cyclone Open Friday, Jan. 19 while thrower Cam Jones will compete at the New Balance Collegiate Showdown in Boston Saturday, Jan. 20.

NB Collegiate Showdown
The Cyclones last competed at the Hawkeye Invitational through the blizzard, with two putting up top-five ranked program performances. Kaitlyn Burson now ranks second in the weight throw with 66-11 1/4 (20.40m), a mark the senior hit in the very first round. Also in the weight throw, Daniel Norris went out to the No. 4 performance of 68-1 1/2 (20.76m). Jones won the event with a facility and meet record of 72-8 1/2 (22.16m), the sixth-best mark in the nation this season. Darius Kipyego (600m, 1:17.58) and Silas Winders (mile, 4:02.27) also set meet records.
